About the Job
A rebellious mexican-american teenager in search of her identity and her own voice. Violet does not follow beauty or behavioral standards. She has been hurt and is trying to cover up those wounds. Life has hit her hard. Her father's death a year ago plunged her into depression. She lives with her mother, Lucia, and her stepfather, Raymond, who tends to be cruel. Violet dreams of running away with her best friend, Mimi, and going to live with her aunt, whom she feels is the only adult who understands her and cares for her. The role mostly speaks Spanish, but it's preferable if the talent also speaks English.
